Most of the time, the stuff movie critics like is pretty mediocre. For example, 'The Shape of Water' won the Award for Best Picture, but when I watched it I felt like the characters were hollow and the movie lacked substance as a whole.
Breaking Bad is an exception to this. The characters are complex and realistic, each with their own motivations and flaws. The actors deliver outstanding performances, especially Bryan Cranston as Walter White, who transforms from a mild-mannered teacher to a ruthless kingpin.
The series also showcases stunning visuals, from the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico to the gritty scenes of the drug underworld. The cinematography, editing, and sound design create a captivating atmosphere that immerses the viewer in the story.
One of the best shows of all time. 5/5.
